I'll chime in and add that Darrow's one of the best things we have going here in DC ... Cool, cool brother and his musical taste is impeccable. Shoot, while I'm at it, he currently has a party called Deepflyte every other Saturday at Erico cafe on 14th & U street. - Info on his website.

errr...ummm...I swear I did not pay either Alfonso or 6 23 to say nice things about me.

(now...where did I put that checkbook?)

On the real, compliments are a very humbling but good thing. Thanks.

it seems silly to do this but I need to point out that Alfonso's link is wrong smile.gif . you'll get a big fat "file not found".

Under the Needle (http://www.myterra.org/undertheneedle.html) is a biweekly endeavor to highlight favorites tunes (including artists, releases dates, record labels, catalog numbers, etc.) and express myself (like the last under the needle)

Online Mixes (http://www.myterra.org/onlinemixes.html) is the page of the mixes I've put up so far.

I gotta testify for brother Darrow as well...

One week Doug was supposed to guest at DeepFlyte but he got caught up in a traffic jam on I-95 thanks to that whole DC sniper thing and he couldn't get out of Richmond. This all happened AFTER Darrow had left for the club so after talking to Darrow, I brought some records with me to the club to fill in for Doug if needed....

I got there, sat my records down and proceeded to have one of the best nights I've had in a long time.... at two different points I refused to get on the tables cuz Darrow was absolutely KILLING it with a rack of classic house cuts and I couldn't have done anything but brought the vibe down a notch. He NEEDED to stay on the tables ya know, just one of those things. He had a connection with the crowd, he had the records and he had everything under control just right.

It really was a refreshing night for a lot of reasons and it was just one of those nights where it really helped replenish my soul....

Peace

Rob

Yes, Darrow once played this powerful track that I forgot to ask him about. I rank him in the set-me-free class of DJs.
