I happen to been surfin the net looking at Dj Mixers and came across the new Berhringer Pro Mixer DJX700..... I couldn't believe my eyes! This mixer looks exactly like the Pioneer 600. It even has all of the effects too. Now check this out... Audio Line in Chicago has it listed for $209.00! Something got to be wrong here. Pioneer 600 is listed way over 800 bucks. What do ya'll think about this mixer. www.behringer.com (http://www.behringer.com)

Only time will tell....JMJ

My thread from 01/03. I can't front though, I just bought a pair of their Sony-ripoff headphones. Of course, they don't sound as good as the sony's they bite, but they work and at $25, you can't complain too much.

yes behringer is well known for ripping off designs and recreating them with cheaper labour.... i have several pieces of behringer stuff, and i like it....doesn't sound worse than the original stuff......

btw, this mixer doesn't seem to have the effect-parameter knob i seem to recall from the pioneer mixer...it looks like you can only switch the effect on and off..

It has a min/max knob--I think that's what youre looking for O! They actually have made some improvements to the design--kill buttons & larger frequency cutoff are the 2 I noticed immediately!

the pioneer has 2 rotaries for the effects, a "time" and a "level/depth" .... the behringer seems to miss the time, which is a very usefull knob as it can control all kinds of parameters in the delay, reverb, flanger etc. to make it much more flexible and creative..

I was actually close to getting a V-amp guitar modeler (the Line 6 knockoff) when I saw one at a blowout price. I also have one of the first mixers they made, I got it cheap and use it as a backup. I'm actually thinking about getting another cheap one and I will check out the Pioneer knockoffs when they come out. if they're cheap enough, I might get one.

I am definitely getting another one of their pacthbays. 48 patch points for $40!

IMO this is no different that the Stanton Line of mixers that look just like the Vestex line. The same features but hundreds of dollars cheaper.

Is there a relationship between the two companies Vestex and Stanton?

Peace I think Stanton was the US distributor for Vestax for a time.
