e.g. being from far away i can speak re production wise more then the DJ themselves i remember back in the begining 90's ie 1993-1995 i used to dig JuniorVasquez production a lot and he really was 1 that really put me into vocals and made me appricate them a lot more as opposed to his today stuff even tough latley i have seen a small improvement as compared to 2-3 years ago:)

Hate is a strong word so I won't go there, but there are a few djs out there that I'm disappointed in because of their change in musical style. But I gotta respect what they do because it does put money in their pockets.
Sounds like you're trying very hard
to say they sold out for the money,
and you havent figured out a way
to whoop cats who say the famous slogan,
"I gotta feed my kids"....'I got bills 2 pay'
...and all that....(tell em to try belief)
I agree the music isnt what it used to be, but there could very well be a resurgence of the deeper, mentally orchestrated more sophisticated sound. Vocals, well ahhhh...the music has to be on par first.....You heard Stargate yet.....?
That'll revive some belief back N ya

hi HK i kinda c your point!
but how r we sure that many of the famous jocks or not famous jocks really sold out themselves!
2 our believes it can be very easy to say so but saying that someone has 2 play Blaze or Maw because i play it & got inspired by DJ>X so he has to continue on playing it is something wrong....
But i can c your point as when the end 90s Twilo Eurojocks era thing started happening the famous ones where really losing themselves outhere in the city music wise.... & lately since the europeans famous UK jocks are coming less or have become something of a common site i can c a certain spirit change to a kind of more NYC sound even on the harder edged stuff that in here we dont really diss a lot ie. DHP but still an improvement to how it was 2 -3 years ago graemlins/acclaim.gif

Loyt, its not disrespecting them to disrespect their philosopy---their god in some cases---I still respect all as humans, but what they do is a different ball game.
How many have been down the path of fill my own pockets? Good, ask them....are they satisfied...
How many have tried to work for something larger and get phucked by those with the above mentioned complex......the two dont mix...and they shouldnt...
Musically, I dont think NYC is doing anything that exciting.....not a diss, they have good stuff that I would like but just havent heard it, but their generally mentality is MONEY, MONEY, GOLDEN CALF-god-Benjamin-Idol money!....so the essence is lost due to intentions....
Just my 2 cents that dont add up to nothing....

as a far away spectator
i think when Sacha & Digweed & co started coming & had a whole lot of HYPE following them many of them really changed there style as to adabt to this unreal situation mad1.gif
now that the hype is sort of decreasing may be there could be some inprovement by these big names in the future HOPEFULLY biggrinangel.gif
i am already seeing a small turn of direction but is still 2 early to say ;)
