View Full Version : Is anyone feeling...
Brian Harden "Instinctive State of..." LP on Moods & Grooves?
Ron Carroll "Natural (Blak Beat Niks remix)" on Music 101?
Haven't seen anyone talk about these on the board. Blazin' IMO.
Peace,
Doug

People seem to be sleeping on it because it gets labelled "techno", but there's some straight up gritty house joints on there that work!

That Brian Harden is excellent. I will always love the original Detroit techno sound. Now I'll have to look for the Ron Carroll.

it's Track Mode, currently run out of Baltimore by Brett Dancer. Brian Harden is Chi-based, no? Track Mode and Moods & Grooves (1 of Mike Grant's label) have been putting out house grit for years... graemlins/grinyes.gif

haven't got the album, but got the 12". it's just meant to abuse good sound systems. i haven't seen the ron carrol though. also just got the mike grant on om as a give away.... and this piece of wax slams too. sick and funky basslines with excellent production. more s.s. abuse..... anyone diggin' on the joe claussell(sp) remix of that herbie hancock track? i'm bad with titles, but the first part of the track is dnb and then switches to the good 'ol 4x4 beat. lovin' this track! graemlins/all_coholic.gif

Seriously...it's a nice spot that is down the street from a spot that hosts a party called Entre Nous (http://www.entrenousdc.com). Every now and then, I'll get people coming in thinking my gig is where they can get their swing on.
