Got to Shampoo around 2:30. At that point Frankie was half-way through his set. I came in as he was playing the Danny Krivit "Strings of Life" mix. NICE! Followed that up with some nice early 90's house. But then Frankie started playing kinda hard and monotonous. All cd's too, with very little mixing. I was almost falling asleep until he played "I wish I wasn't". The dancefloor was pretty full the whole time, but not much emotion or vibe. After 5 am Frankie played a little deeper: "Knights of the Jaguar", "Whistle Song", "Do you Love Me" (Lil Louis). A nice finish, but I wish it were like that the whole night.

Hmmm ... Too bad the night didn't go 100% for you.
I've been digging a few of his mixes here on DHP. Oddly enough, your last post about going to see him, for some reason inspired me to listen to more of his mixes ...

Damn Danny, I guess Yuji and I left two minutes too early! I can't believe he played "Whistle Song" after we left!!! I agree completely with your review of the night. I had mixed feelings, but Frankie played to his audience. He ended it true to the game and the house heads were still there feeling it smile.gif Too bad two of those house heads gave up and left too early graemlins/mecry.gif
