We host a lot of wonderful guests at Mister Saturday Night, people we respect as producers and DJs, folks that reflect our own musical vision. The heart and soul of MSN, though, is the residents. Party after party, Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter put together sets that are dynamic, diverse and bleeding passion. They set the benchmark high for anyone who joins them. Tonight the pair hold it down all by themselves, stretching out for at least eight hours, dipping into all corners of their far-flung collections.
This one's going down at our new Brooklyn home – and on the soundsystem that production/DJ duo Bad Decision have generously hooked up for us. If you came for our party on November 6, you heard it, and if you didn't, trust us when we say it's truly spectacular. The system was designed by a master audio technician named Shorty as the prototype for Montreal's Stereo club. Using many of the same speaker components as George Lucas's Skywalker Studios, the clarity is unbelievable, and standing in front of the speakers is a fully physical experience.
As usual, the space will be cozy, with plenty of places to sit, lots of wood-floor real estate for dancing, and a patio where you can smoke cigarettes or get some cool air. Beer's free from 10p to 11p, and because we don't have the expenses associated with hosting a guest, the party's $5 less than usual. Get down.
