Worlwide sales of Dixie Chick's back catalogue have increased 37% since members of the country group spoke out against President Bush and the War on Iraq, according to Mark Grunman, an analyst with Musictrends an industry sales tracking group. Mr. Grunman said "Controversy always creates sales, and the worldwide appeal of the Dixie Chicks has been amplified with the anti-bush, anti-war statements which are very much in league with the vast majority of world opinion."

Statement from Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks
March 14, 2003

"As a concerned American citizen, I apologize to President Bush because my remark was disrespectful. I feel that whoever holds that office should be treated with the utmost respect. We are currently in Europe and witnessing a huge anti-American sentiment as a result of the perceived rush to war. While war may remain a viable option, as a mother, I just want to see every possible alternative exhausted before children and American soldiers' lives are lost. I love my country. I am a proud American."

Save the Children! I believe you David.

Whenever I'm in Bermuda to visit with some of my family, we always go swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Quest. They are SUPER smart. Very tame and they love to play thats for sure. It's something one would HAVE to experience to fully understand the power of it.

Check out DOLPHIN QUEST (http://www.dolphinquest.org/destinations/bermuda/)

(pro-war or anti-war) I think my post regarding Dolphins was misconstrued by some. I was trying to share some news about the humanitarian effort. There are HUMAN DIVERS down there too searching for mines so that they can get the MUCH NEEDED supplies to the people that need it the most. According to Geneva Convention, it IS our responsibility.

Some would disagree...
