As a person who witnessed the situation, here it is....GU did`nt spin because of EGO!!!!!--- plan and simple.
He was given a time slot to spin (11pm-1am), he did`nt like that slot because he felt that he was to much of a celebrity and was`nt going to open up for anyone. He felt that he should`ve had
Timmy`s slot. So, he perposely showed up at the time he did (12:45am). He figured that because of who he think is, he could walk in and just gangsta the tables.
I also heard him say some things out side of the shelter that could really DESTROY him as a shelter artist and a chicago member of the house
scene, but I will not put him out there no further than he already has put himself....

All that I will say is that GU needs to take a long look at what happened over the past weekend,
humble himself and apolpogize to the people that
made the trip to hear him play 1st, and 2nd to the fans of his music that NEVER heard him BEAT THAT SH%T like we know he can; Because not only is he a brilliant producer, he`s one of the best DJ`s I`ve been privlaged to hear.

Get it together MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

off to anyone reading this cowardly post. Supernova is Marcus Nash as described in the past post sections of his profile but all of us Chicagoans that were there know the guy in the picture in the DEMF pictures post WAS NOT IN NEW YORK so one of the people mentioned in Glenn's post earlier
probably posted this anonimously since Marcus Nash is part of there crew. Grow up and let the shit go and maybe oneday you'll have the opportunity to "play" or "not play Shelter". Glenn DID NOT PLAY SHELTER SATURDAY. Those that were there sorry if you felt slighted or if you were caused any inconvenience. Those that weren't there shut the F*ck up because "The Shelter and The Urban Heirs are fed up with these dumb ass posts by people that aren't in our lives enough to know what the situation was. Glenn, you got it wrong. We did come to New York to hear you play. That was a major part of the reason we went. It was not just for Chaka Khan. When we left the concert we didn't want to go the Shelter at that time be we were in the hotel and were talking about how it would be foul for us to come all the way to New York and not be there when you played so we went tired as hell anyway. So you can't fault us for being a little dissapointed. I also really wanted to see if the Shelter would get into the way we work the eq in Chicago.

Let's hope GU plays Yellow a week on Sunday. All this talk has got me itchy and as the old addage goes, there's no such thing as bad advertising..
