To hear the legend himself..Mr. Frankie Knuckles.
I am. If he's in rare form I don't want to miss it. I'll still have a good time regardless. When Frankie is really going into a zone it's something that you don't want to have missed because sometimes words do an injustice in describing some things that are so intense...Ya had to be there is all you can say sometimes. I've been to many a Frankie party and can say that his consistency over a 25 yr. period for me is unrivaled. I haven't experienced anyone putting it down like he has for so long. I have had moments where I wasn't as thrilled as other times but shit..let him start beating it....UNTOUCHABLE!!
Peace

Ive been to a hell-of-a lot of Frankies partys.
Sometimes I go just to see the people that I havent seen in year's. graemlins/beerchug.gif
ButI must agree with you, when Frankie is in the Zone and Beating it properly, expect to be taken away! graemlins/snoopy.gif
I enjoy most of all of Frankies Partys, sometimes it's just a good feeling to see everyone haveing a Good time all at once. smile.gif

Dude, if my situation permits, you know I will be there. I would not miss 'the godfather of house' unless I just can't get away. You are absolutely right about Frankie --- when he gets in a zone, he can't be touched. True school!

Yeah I can understand why some come away dissapointed sometimes..because he has built such a legendary status for himself that if he just beats it..it's not enough for some people. The expectations for a Frankie party are so high sometimes I don't think he can get a fair shake. The same set by someone else would have people talking for years but if it was Frankie then some think he just brought a crate and picked up his cheddar. I can't wait. Remember Transit ..when he played with David Morales??? Frankie ripped a new asshole into that club..beat it like someone put a gun to his head.

I'm there as always. I'm going to start cooking on Saturday, so I won't be burned out on Thursday.
I learned my lesson from last year, after cooking for about 30 people, my ass was worn out. I couldn't even get out of the bed. This year that's not going to happen.
Peace

Ah yes brother Alan King the silent but deadly DJ. One of the nicest brothers you'd ever wanna meet. What a great feeling it must be to play at such a venue with Frankie...getdown man

I start with the cakes first and as the holiday approaches, I cook the turkey, dressing, macaroni and cheese and so forth and furthermore, how many of you have someone in their family, who cooks weeks in advance and freezes the food, until it's time for the holiday. I know a couple of grandmothers, aunts and so on.
Peace, Love and Disco

Richard Thanks, Rich. It is a nice feeling. I sort of feel like it's the culmination of my "comeback" over the last few years, after being more or less away from the scene for about 15 years. I have been so warmly received back into the house community, and DHP has a lot to do with it. To get an invitation like this from FK means a lot. So I give thanks...and plan to do the thing.

I'll be there too!!!! Checking out Frankie and, of course, old man Alan King!
