"Featuring"
**** that! featuring some ****ers who didn't think about the music, just a way of creaming some cash, remix the Birdy song you useless ****s instead of ruining a good song.
It’s his song that they just ****ed a riff from "music sounds better with you" / (which in turn used the track "Fate") guitar.
And why did it take so long, the track existed for an age prior to this now it's all over the shop graemlins/sleep.gif graemlins/sleep.gif , probably bought a compilation with it on (I.E Electric Chair). Oh now it's Misery of Sound LP with Daniel Beddingfield and other shit !
Sacrilege of one of my all time favourites.
Oh, and why didn't all any producer with worth do it, ones who probably would remember it from the time, probably thought no need to, and rightly so ! IMHO.
Any other records they "use" that are just foul ?

Martin, is this record one of these filtered-to-death records that use a couple of loops and the so-called "producers" are hyped overnight and their faces plastered on the dance publications? sounds like a case of "Phatts and Small". graemlins/rofl.gif

The worst thing about Fatbastard and Smalls was the way they used a black guy to mime the words to a record that ripped off Toney Lee's Reach Up wholescale! It wasn't even a vocal remake. Unbelievable.

There is a good version of this record. Or, rather, there's a good record which samples 'Get Down Saturday Night'. It came out on Grove Records about 12 years ago. I think Phil Asher and John Gould did it, but I can't find my copy to check.
And some people thought "Diamond Life" was foul...

Where there is a TV ad so too there must be a smash hit single. The validity of this truism appeared to have taken a knock a few wee ks ago when the Mock Turtles' reissued single could only creep into the Top 20. Now it appears we must modify the rule to read: Where there is a TV ad so too thre must be a BRAND NEW smash hit single. Yes, thanks to a series of commercials for Lynx Deodorant (of all products), this club track from Room 5 has suddenly become the most in demand single of the moment, the exposure of the memorable adverts helping it cross over far beyond the audience who would normally have snapped up this delightfully retro disco-funk track and turning it instead into a mainstream pop hit. With total ease the single debuts at the very top of the charts, in the process effectively become the first pure club track to top the listings since DJ Sammy's Heaven back in November last year. The roots of the single go back much further than most people realise as Make Luv began life as Get Down Saturday Night, singer Oliver Cheatham taking the track to Number 38 in July 1983. Despite that lowly chart position the song has remained something of a soul classic ever since and has been known to find its way into the sets of certain superstar DJs as an end of night novelty. * *
Room 5's reworking has been done with the full backing of the American star who now lives in the UK and who has enthusiastically helped with its promotion. Born in 1948, Cheatham is now almost 55 years old, making him the oldest man to have a Number One single since Cliff Richard topped the charts with the Millennium Prayer at the age of 59 back in 1999.
* * **** ! , this record didn't get played by any UK cunt superstar types, perhaps they jumped on it now graemlins/sleep.gif graemlins/sleep.gif most WANKERS missed the boat - NOVELTY they said novelty SUCK COCKS IN HELL YOU CUNTS
again WANKERS !

would you rather westlife were number one? or gareth gates? let's face it, they've only looped it a bit, added a beat and made the production more radio friendly - it's not that different from the original.
yes it's opportunistic, but who cares? at least cheatham is credited and is getting paid - and it will probably open a lot of people's ears to records of similar vintage that they would never normally appreciate.
Save your bile for the remake of 'where love lives'
