Something cool happened to me Sun(10/19)

a friend of mine asked me to dj with him at this lounge/bar spot. i really didn't want to 'cuz he has no flyers and is hoping to get people word of mouth. there wasn't many people there, but when i got towards the middle part of my set i got a few people dancin', which was cool. it actaully put a smile on my face, which i hid real quick 'cuz i'm a hard azz mofo. there was even a cat tellin' me to bring it down deep, which i did and he was def. happy. but the best was when we were done and this cute girl went out of her way to tell me she liked what i was playing and what an unexpected surprise it was that we were playin' house. one of the other dj's said he was impressed with what i played. the bartender who gave my friend the chance to run is way into house, but ask that i play a little more chill. i guess i was workin' up a sweat with 'brighter days'. anyway so that's my story and i'm stickin' to it. i won't even metion the girl who asked if this was all i play. doh.

i regret missing friday. i went and crashed hard. it was friends bday celebration the night b4 that killed me. i even told to wait 'til the next day(fri), but no000. of course he got to sleep in.

HML thanks HML. it's weird 'cuz it was only like a handful of people, but you actually start playing for them and hope they get with it. it was cool that my let me play, but when i got a couple people dancin' he comes back up and says 'you switch and mess around?'. i didn't mind 'cuz who wants to play to an empty floor. hopefully we can build a small following of people. the bartender is pretty understanding about it taking some time. got free driniks though
