I own Trillian, Albino, and Lounge Lizard, plus everything that comes with Logic. What I find is that many VST's are ideal for Techno and Trance producers with their presets and all. Can anyone suggest some good VST's that are Deep House friendly?

"hypersonic 2" (if you can still find this, unfortunately, discontinued by Steinberg) is a very good plug-in . a whole lotta sounds in it, all types of real string effects, keys, organs, orchestral, etc,....

here is a sketch of a track i work on. needs better mixing.
but i mainly used and use logic plug ins and massiv and machine.
but you can use ultabeat and te es2 to get the same result.

in this track i even used the garage band digital piano

dont run after to many plug ins. know the ones you have.

pointblank has a deep soulful house course - they use only logic and get some great results. check out youtube and the pointblank soundcloud site. there you can listen to the work of students. impressiv.

hope this helps

Hey SoundScience,

I have to agree a lot of VST's are ideal for Techno and Trance producers. But I find Hypersonic, Mini Moog, Mr Ray 22 and Korg Legacy Cell to be the best for producing Deep and Soulful House.

And always use chords instead of single notes. Without chords, it's like having a gun with no bullets ;)

I'm sure some might disagree but these are my bunch. I don't use VST's so I'm not sure all of these have a VST version.

Linplug's Alpha
NI FM8 and Kontakt 4
Waldorf PPG 3.V
Korg Legacy Collection (KLC-1: Polysix and Wavestation)
D16 Group's Drumazon and Nepheton

Besides my hardware, these do the Deepness for me.

FXpansion's DCAM Synth Squad for when I want to get Progressive.
