Martin found House music when it first landed in the UK in the mid eighties.

He started working as a DJ professionally in 1989 where he was playing in bars such as Notes Bar and 49ers in Birmingham. He also hosted a Saturday night dance show on a popular pirate radio station - Fresh FM, which was ran by two parts of The Constructive Trio. These DJ's formed a big part of the initial House scene that took off in the Midlands, during the mid 80's.

Martin began his first weekly club residency at The Hummingbird on Friday nights, where he would play to a crowd of 2000 - 3000 clubbers, along with other residents and regular guests.

In 1990, Martin decided that he wanted to start his own club night, which was the first ever weekly dance night to be held at the now (and then) legendary Shelleys in Longton, Stoke On Trent.

The opening night of 28th June 1990, saw guest DJ - Evil Eddie Richards (Jolly Roger). Over time guests included the likes of Derrick May, Colin Dale, & Dave Angel, to name but a few...

Martin remains a well respected character from the golden years of the Midlands dance music scene, so don't miss your chance to hear him play, as he will be digging deep into his crates and taking all who want to go, on what can only be described as a most Fantastic Voyage!
