if you want a MAJOR DHP flashback, I've spent the last few hours perusing the Hot Mix Five topic (see the Best Posts Forum) and dayum.

Forgot how lively that one got, and it reminded me of some who've come and gone on DHP.

It is a reason to think twice before starting bull crap up in here - a lot of really intelligent heads as well as legends have been alienated because of personal, racial and nonsensical issues blown up on DHP.

sad, is that Iv'e had the pleasure of meeting a
couple of N.Y DHP members, and they too concluded,
that they no longer posts on this board, unless
their promoting a venue, or it's something directly dealing w/ the music. Anything else they
want no part of. It's really sad when knowledgeable, goodhearted people give up because
a few heads on this board, don't know how

JMNYC, You all have hit the nail right on the head with this one.

I was gone for a long time and now I only post maybe once a month or when I just miss seeing the DHP. I used to post here daily but I stopped because of the games. Not because of I got into it with anyone, but I just couldn't take seeing people I know in here fighting over really, really petty stuff. The board is also extremely anti-female now and I am not down with that.

Worse than the fighting is the lying, negativity and the people instigating fights with others when it does not involve them. This used to be a friendly community. Now it seems to be a warzone. Which is why I can understand if people feel alienated.

Nothing against G-man, he has done his best to keep peace, but how many people get banned over and over only to never learn the lesson and come back starting crap all over again?

There are cats in here I don't like too, but one of my mottos are: If you don't have anything nice to say about someone-don't say anything to/about them at all. graemlins/cool_shades.gif
