Hope some of you are ready for a very special party this coming Saturday at Club Six (http://www.clubsix1.com) in San Francisco (6th & Market).
It's thier 5 year anniversary and Marshall and I will be rippin' it up.
If you're able to arrive at 7pm....there will be a very special treat showing on the projector.
You only get 3 guesses, and the first 2 don't count.
Peace,

-thanx All of the music that Steve and I will play at the Apple Store (Chicago, 26 Jan 04, 7pm) will be on the iPods. The music will be mixed and manipulated via Stanton's Final Scratch system.
That is, we'll be using vinyl records that only contain timecode. The timecode is sent to the computer (and iPod). The computer then sends back the corresponding audio file at the exact point of where the needle is on the timecoded records. Sounds techy, but it's really pretty simple and quite powerful.
We'll be explaining the entire system in detail.
Hope to see you there.

Say Chip E...Id like to ask a personal favor graemlins/rofl.gif
When you next talk to Marshall, tell him that I (and many others) miss his sound. I really miss the Marshall sound with the moving basslines, PIANO, and the STRINGS....BIG, LUSH sounds...his tunes were true COMPOSITIONS...SONGS...a bridge, a chorus...lyrics..meaning.
I also miss his reeeeal deep tracks tunes with moving basslines like 'The Jungle' and 'Open Your Eyes' ...basslines where if you stand by the speaker the bass claws you in the gut.
I dont know where Marshall is now musically...I havent heard a produciton from him in years (I dont even know if hes still in the house music produciton game). He may have evolved into a different sound by now. But if he has an ounce of what he used to have, tell him to make it happen again.

BTW, I will pass on the word that he needs to bring some new ish for '04.
