Anyone hip to the lightly psychedelic stuff he did in the 60s? Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, as they were billed, did some really cool half-way psychedelia. They had a television show where Kenny jammed with Ike and Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, etc.

Once that settled down, he went back to his country roots and blew up again, but before that, he was on some really cool Steppenwolf-lite stuff.
