2 Part question for all the bigbrained DJS.
My Vestex pmc-170 is on the fritz. I get mad feedback if you so much as touch the bass knob. Almost none of the cut switches work anymore. They give crazy feedback also. Is this mixer worth fixing, can it be rewired. Part 2- What mixer would you reccomend. I need at least 3 channels for house mixes, around $300.

Peace

Man,if you would have just saved a little cash, you would not be in this position. Now ya gonna have to buy another mixer again.I learned the hard way,you go cheap with electronics, you will keep on buying again and again...

I say save a little and get you a 3 channel rane-19 inch rackmount.I think it's the Mojo.

That mojo is like $750!
What about that Numark matrix 3, or is that just ish. I cant spend $750, what else, pioneer?
There has to e a quality mixer other than the rane.
So I guess the my Vestex is beyond repair?

So I guess the my Vestex is beyond repair? You get what you pay for. If you don't want to spend the cash, check Ebay for a used Numark PPD. The 1900, 1975, 2075, or 1775 would work just fine. Good sound and very reliable......JMJ

Check out Denon's DN-X400.

I got this one last year. It's in the $300-$400 range. Good sound. Knobs are a little small. If you're a knob twizzler like I am, you'll probably wear off the thin, rubber knob covers like I did. Very pleased with the product, though.

Anyone else like the Denon DN-x400 mixer?

Do you think there would be a problem with TT's

Not at all. There's a post for grounding them. Lines 3 and 4 are marked "Phono". Should be fine. Have at it.

It looks like a nice mixer...similary to the Rane MM-8

EDIT: Denon also makes some digital-out TTs--I wonder what they'd be like hooked up to the X400
