Did you see this fight? I mean, DID YOU SEE THIS FIGHT?!? Early contender for fight of the year...up there with the first Gatti-Ward bout. Jirov set a blistering pace, but Toney hit so many power shots, I couldn't believe it. The final scoring was a bit wack, but after Toney took Jirov down with ten seconds left, you knew he had to be the winner.

That last round was Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots time. Props to James Toney for finally putting it all together.

Great fight great drama with no losers. When I’m fed up with the sport of boxing a great fight rejuvenate my interest. Jirov & Toney should be commended for a great performance. I would love to see a rematch. I don’t think Toney wants the rematch. He’s looking ahead to the heavyweights (Lewis, Byrd) I never saw Jirov fight before Saturday. However he gained a new fan in me. I look forward to great things from Mr. Jirov. He gained so much in the lost Saturday night. The classic underachiever (James Toney) finally is back on track. Let’s hope Mr. Toney isn’t derailed again. If he (Toney) fights the way he fought Saturday he is going to be tough to beat. Boxing can be a beautiful sport.

No way Toney wants a rematch - Jirov was tough as hell. Fighting the way he did after a 14-month layoff? Next time he could take Toney out.

Roy Jones won't come down in weight - he's out to prove something in the heavyweight division. Maybe Toney will move up to the heavies, but I can't see him beating either Byrd or Lewis. Both those guys have way better defense than Jirov, and Lewis's jab will decimate Toney.

Yeah, and then the right hook upstairs put Jirov out on his feet. All that was left was to push him down. When Toney hit him with that right Emmanuel Steward started screaming like some Beatlemaniacal girl.

We probably won't see another great fight until Gatti vs Ward 3.
