Anybody on here end up visiting the Electric Souls party on saturday night? That has to be one of the best I have been to in a long while. The venue was fantastic, a nasty old hotel perched on the side of a cliff, with views over a power station, which gave the area a Blade Runner feel. 3 rooms filled with fantastic music including a very crammed live room, with low ceilings and a fantastic crowd helped create a fantastic atmosphere. The live room featured the likes of Crazy Penis who were fantastic, good looking, great sounding vocalist. Amp Fiddler were the highlights of the live room. Oh my! to say I was blown away would be an understatement because they were tight. The music and the vocals ensured that the crowd got their dancing shoes on. "U Bring me Vibes" from Only Child, was one of the highlights. Amp Fiddler definitley carrying the soul.

The small basement (again low ceilings) was filled with a more raw edge and Bugz in the Attic played a fantastic set. But again the Main attrtaction was Theo Parrish, along with Moodyman. It was difficult to see wether they were both getting stuck in, plenty of men stood close to the box, scoping the vinyl. I was busy getting a bit of a groove on with my girlfriend, who had never really experienced the crazy disco numbers and style of Theo, needless to say she also enjoyed it. DIfficult to remember much of what Theo was playing, cos some was a bit obscure and all was just too damm danceable, though I do remember hearing him play Beyonce!!

The Main room again was just fantastic and Maurice Fulton and Mark Rae, well they just played tracks from all the era's, and the 900 strong crowd really seemed to be enjoying themselves. Many thanx to the Una Bombers who were keeping everything together and Acting as great hosts.

Altogher A++ this one.

Yeah, I have their comp. "Saturday Night, Sunday Morning" and if they only play half as good as that live, they are unbelieveable.
Do they throw a lot of parties in Manchester?

Peace.

Note: Theo does not play Beyonce, he plays the original track that Beyonce stole, don't know the name though, but he played it at our party in Belgium, in Paris and in the Netherlands.

Well, I know he doesn't play 'Crazy In Love' by Beyonce, because that's the track marki was talking about, 100% sure about that.
Maybe he plays some other track by Beyonce but I seriously doubt it after talking music to him for a whole weekend ;)
