Hi..
I'm not even from the Usa, let alone New Jersey! My name is Carl Brown, from a small town called Ipswich, in England.
I run this website - http://www.garage-music.com
Please have a look at it when, or if you have the time?
I have a question. I can't seem to decided who sounds the more deeper, or the most Soulful.
I have been listening to either Chicago, and New Jersey Dj's for some time now, and both of them seem to touch your soul.
Chicago dj's seem to do this via their use of Deep House - which as time is out of this world, where as New Jersey seem to love the vocal approch to the Soulful vibes within House and Garage music.
Or as you say in the Usa - club music
One of my theories for New Jersey that is:
Has New Jersey had or has a huge church influence in its past?
Maybe the influence of Gospel music in the city undrstanding and making of music - plays a big part in the Dj's putting out alot of Soulful music - especially when it comes to House music.
I am I right? Or am I way of target on this.
Maybe the two other major ciites that maybe can match New Jersey's Soulful output within the Usa in my opinion seems to be Chicago; and San Francisco at the moment with their labels such as - Naked Music, Om and Pan handle
Anyone would like to add their view here about this? I am right or wrong?
