This is a Funk & Disco mix of original classics from the late 70īs to the early 80īs. All originalīs from my vinyl collection. Some of the vinylīs jump & are out of sync as obviously a lot of disco was recorded live with no drum machines. But end of the day itīs about the music & I didnt want to leave those cuts out just because of this.
This mix features tracks from Cheryl Lynn, Gwen McCrae, D-Train, Larry Levan, Man Parrish, Evelyn Champagne King, Jocelyn Brown, Rufus, Loletta Holloway, Asford & Simpson & otherīs. Itīs inspired by not only my love of all things funky but Larry Levan & the Paradise Garage New York, Chaka Khan, Disco Stu from the Simpsons & Last but not least Jimmy Castor, Funk Soul Legend R.I.P.
