"Downs is the director of the Albany Office of the state Commission on Judicial Conduct, which investigates complaints of misconduct against judges and can admonish, censure or remove judges found to have engaged in misconduct."
Seems to me like some judge somewhere may have had an axe to grind. Funny how the guy who is responsible for sticking it to judges found himself in front of one... http://deephousepage.com/smilies/scratchchin.gif
I think the media is playing up the peace-shirt angle.

absurd, and interesting. he will definitely sue for discrimination. Not sure if he will win, though, seeing as malls are technically private property. I bet the mall settles out of court to avoid publicity.
that's the thing, as private property, once they ask you to leave and you refuse you are trespassing

will be interestign to see what happens (if we're able to find the outcome in the media at all)
I think a first ammendent issue would outweigh the trespassing issue..but im not a lawyer..so we'll have to see what happens i guess..im assuming he can appeal on those grounds to a higher court.
but i find it distressing that were having to see stories like this in the first place....
bold soul, i find it hightly unlikely that some judge would have taken the time to follow this guy, monitor his every move so that he would know the momment he put on a peace shirt in a mall..in order to have ppl in postition ready to pounce...thats a bit of a stretch i feel..just my opinion tho...not looking for a debate.
anways, its nice to see ANY piece of news regarding the peace movement...by lookign at the various news media outlets, its like feb 15 never even happened. all those focus groups i guess
