This Friday night we welcome KENNY "DOPE" GONZALEZ of MASTERS AT WORK. We have been told there is a 90% chance that ?LITTLE? LOUIE VEGA will show up as well. We are very excited and honored to welcome MAW for their first in a series of in-store appearances around the world.
The Low Down:
-MASTERS AT WORK this Friday @ WAX from 7pm-10pm
-Free giveaways, surprises from MAW
-Listen to upcoming and unreleased tracks
-We have been told that if ya'll are up for it, they might even start Djing!
-As always, Free Food, Free Beer
-10% OFF all records during the in store from 7pm-10pm!!!

MAW is going to be in LA because they're playing at the Coachella Valley Music Festival.

I guess I'll be hearing some music tomorrow!!! That will be the biggest waste of money. Just another rave trying to get a few "deep jazzy house" djs up in there. I wonder how many glowsticks will be sold at that event? graemlins/cool_shades.gif

i am surprised they will be at Coachella, it never works out that the deep side gets any respect or understanding. I heard that LLV just sat there last year and didn't spin.

Say what you will about the event, but I had a great time!!!
Kenny Dope runnin the effects with two cdj's and Lil Louie mixing in the jams on 3 turntables. It was really amazing to see how well they work together and watch Louie really working the knobs. When he dropped in I'll House You by the Jungle Brothers the place went nuts.
I was also very impressed by Felix da Housecat who was really working the crowd with some great builds. He was really ballsy too. At one point he was working in the I have a dream accapella over some electro and it was working really well. so well in fact that he stopped the table, put the needle back to th4e start and started up the table again right as the crowd on the mlk speech was cheering.
