Those are some of the words spoken when describing the almost indescribable music of Larry Heard (AKA Mr. Fingers).

His musical influence can be heard in the songs of countless artists. For those who appreciate warm and passionate digital compositions, Larry's music is pure magic. Larry has been blessed with a unique gift that sends listeners into a blissful euphoric state.

One of his first releases in 1986 was a collaboration with singer Robert Owens, released under the group name "Fingers Inc.". The song "Mystery of Love" instantly became a classic hit, rising to #10 on the Billboard Dance charts.

1988 saw the release of the beautiful & groundbreaking double album entitled "Another Side", showcasing the unstoppable talents of Larry, Robert, and vocalist Ron Wilson.

Since then, he has released several dance/r&b/ambient albums that have kept fans satisfied while gaining waves of new listeners. Recent releases like "Loosefingers" are a stunning testament to his artistic integrity. Never one to sacrifice expression for economic awards, Larry continues to retain his unique and inviting sound.

For us who have heard his voice and music, we wouldn't have it any other way!

Words cannot describe, as his sessions must been seen and heard to be truly appreciated. Traxx concentrates the energy and passion of a diverse array of musical textures into an experience that unites crowds in a shared euphoric release. Melvin, who grew up and currently resides in the windy city of Chicago, started listening to music at an early age. His earliest influences included Gospel, Soul & Jazz. From there, he discovered Disco, Hip-Hop, Nu Wave, Industrial and early House. He has seen and lived the evolution and development of House music, since it's inception. Because of this experience, he truly understands the nature and language behind the sound. His focus landed on the works of individuals like Ron Hardy, Farley "Jackmaster Funk. Keith, Jesse Saunders, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Lil Louis, Rush, JM Silk, Fingers Inc., Chip e., Tyree Cooper and Vince Lawrence.

From these seeds grew Traxx and his love, passion, and dedication to the Underground. His history has molded him into a music educator and preservationist. Self described as the "Artist of Sound. Traxx manipulates the musical compositions (records) into his own distinct emotional interpretations. Because of this, one can count on sessions programmed by Traxx to be unpredictable, diverse, and always distinct. He displays variant musical genres, which emanate from his sonic experiences. He creates a signature blend of eclectic and avante garde combinations from a broad musical palette. His archives include: Original House Music, Rhythmic Percussion, Rare Garage, Italo Disco, Filth Funk, Brazilian and New Age combined universally to infuse the True Sound Of House Music. Not only does Traxx rock the dance floor, but he boldly ventures into uncharted mental dimensions of turntablism by combining rare elements of Electronic Technology from the past, present and future which include: Abstract Grunge, Retro Punk, Electro pop, Nu Wave, Acid Tracks, Mono Minimalism and Techno Soul. Traxx's resume is equally as impressive as his musical palette. From playing in the basements and small clubs of Chicago's underground, since 1984, to playing across the US and in countries like Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Paris, Italy, Australia and Japan, he has had a chance to share his talent with the whole World. Through his travels he has shared the turntables with renowned artists: Jeff Mills, Hell, Dj Rolondo (UR), Carl Craig, Green Velvet, Kevin Yost, Theo Parrish, Diz, Lego, Mark Grant, Mystic Bill, Miles Maeda, Spencer Kincy aka Gemini, Cajmere, Gene Hunt, Roy Davis Jr., Derrick L. Carter, Ms.Kitten (Gigolo rec.), Sensorama, Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Dj Bone, Paul Johnson, Steve Poindexter, Glenn Underground and Boo Williams.

He's rocked the decks at noted festivals, including Berlin's infamous Love Parade, DEMF in Detroit (in 2002, he was honored with "Best Set" by the Detroit Free Press), the WMC in Miami 2003-2004, The PS1/MoMa 2003 New York City, Detroit Movement Festival 2004 (Featuring the Dirty Criminals Debut LIVE!!!) Chicago SummerDance-Grant Park 2004 (featuring:Green Velvet & Traxx) Voted as World's Best Deejay May/June 05 by URB. As one of Gigolos' exclusive artists he has several production credits to his name. Currently signed with DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolo Records Traxx,Deecoy and Hieroglyphic Being contributed their 1st Full Length entitled The Dirty Criminals "Organized Confuzion". the material of the first album presented relives the simple based synth and prototypical rhythm manifested from the early age of electronic dance. The debut album by the band "Dirty Criminals" was released and heralded by producers and musicians all over the world. "The Collision of the Damned" with Traxx's presentation of The Dirty Criminals "Collision Between Us and The Damned". It is the 2nd album which represents - The Old School Sound vs. The New Age Philosophy of Jak Trax remade; Beattracks Re-beated and Deep mono raw vocals surging thru original analog rhythms. This album from the trilogy of "decknitions" debuts with a massive assault, leaving the listener in a manic state of discovery. "Organized Confuzion", the preceding album to "The Collision of the Damned", is only explained as the a chapter in the book and said to be the call for the "Assembly" to unite for the rebirth of Jak in the new age of electronic dance.
