the "Selective" Minds picnic, in Baltimore? Saturday August 28.
Have Fun...... by the way, the so-called "collective minds" picnic is not a good example of "underground family", as it claims on its site; the "selective minds" have not reached out to the other factions of "house" music dj's in Baltimore, which to me, does not constitute the entity of "underground family". When is this soulful house / not soulful enough house" bull-ish going to stop??? I said what I said, and I stand firm on what I have said, thought and observed.

Really sorry to hear this. Anyway, this is something big that has never been done in the Balto/DC area with so many people involved. There were some people unintentionally missing. But only a few. You and I had a conversation like this months ago……and what did I do? I ‘reached out’ to you and came to hear you play at the Spy Club in Baltimore. I wanted to hear some of the things you had to say. We found out we were on some of the same page. Problem is, and it seems to be the same few people, that you don’t know how to ‘reach back’…..and when you do it’s to the same few people. So when things like this come up nobody really remembers who you are.
A few organizations who the House community in Baltimore have reached out after this thing really got rolling to ask why they were not included. They said, ‘ok I understand that this is the first one and everyone could not be remembered, and that they would definitely want to contribute and be a part of it’. This year, if not next. Your boy CB got in touch with me and voiced the same thing. He looked past this and let us know that he is interested in being involved or kept up to date on happenings so he could help in some way if he could. That is admirable. Instead of publicly trying to discredit the “Collective Minds” effort you would want to reach out. Our scene has many more people than you think and a lot of love to give. Why don’t you ‘come and get the love’.
Dan what are you going to do in the months ahead to get your goal accomplished? Surely trying to embarrass this effort won’t help right now. Again, this is not some conspiracy. This is the first one. Who knows, maybe this thing can get so big that the Balto/DC area can have a weekend festival that includes more people. Including many more from DC.
