In this award winning film, Spanish actor/director Jesus Nebot documents the plight of an undocumented single parent. After losing his wife and house to Hurricane Mitch in Honduras, Pablo illegally immigrates to the United States in an attempt to offer a better future for his five year old daughter Cristina. This former English Professor gets into a tragic car accident that leaves a little girl fatally injured. If he waits for authorities to arrive, this accident could cost him what he values most: his daughter and the betterment of his life. Pablo decides to flee. Soid, a young journalist helps the stranger and his daughter to freedom in Canada. This is a true story that brings immigrant struggle to the forefront.

These film showings are really nice. Great food as well. Stick around after wards on either Friday or Saturday for a good night of music. Friday is Open Door and Saturdays is Deepflyte.
