Normally our boat parties are Sunday afternoon summer affairs, but London viewed from the river at night looks simply spectacular. So, to celebrate the first release on our newly set up WhistleBump label (Danny Krivit's edit of Strings of Life) we've decided to host our first nightime boat party on Friday October 17th.
The WhistleBump Autumn Boat Party
Friday October 17th - 9pm-2am - The Silver Sturgeon
Fore saloon:
François K (Wave Music/Deep Space)
Simon Haggis (WhistleBump)
Playing in the 'Fore saloon' alongside WhistleBump's Simon Haggis we're delighted to welcome back François K to the Bump decks - not to mention CD players, effects unit and laptop! We're letting him loose for a 4 hour set to show why New York is currently buzzing about his new Deep Space night at Cielo. There's not enough room to list his past achievements as producer, DJ and Wave Music label owner, but Francois continues to push musical boundaries playing a huge variety of excellent music old and new. If you were lucky enough to catch his set at Plastic People recently you'll know exactly what we mean - hold tight!
Ensign Room:
Yam Who & Blackbeard
Andy Crowther (WhistleBump)
In the 'Ensign' room alongside the Bump's Andy Crowther, we're equally excited to have obtained the services of the mysterious Yam Who and Blackbeard. Both are some of the hottest underground talent around right now with their awesome edits of Raphael Sadiq and Common getting the likes of Gilles Peterson clamouring to find out who they are - come listen to their selection of urban soul, rnb, hip hop, broken beats and see for yourselves!!
We'll be installing our usual high quality sound system for this party and being a Friday night you don't have to worry about work this time, so hope you can join us.
Demand for the boat party tickets is always very high so if you would like to come along please act early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets £20 in advance only - please contact info@whistlebump.co.uk and we'll email back instructions of how to get tickets.
cheers, simon
