Materielle continues as a FREE event on the last Saturday of the month at Public Life (one of London's more unique venues: a modern bar in a converted Victorian underground public washroom).

last month's event took place on a weekend already saturated with music events... which meant for us: new faces, dedicated dancers (some I saw at at least 3 events over the weekend - you know who you are!) and a Carnival-cabaret spirit. our guest DJ Alex of Attica Blues Allstars laid down the smoothest mix of deep house music. the final record told us 'Don't Stop the Dance' - the party continued at another underground venue Somewhere In Hoxton...

helping us hold on to (or see out!) the summer on the Saturday September 28 will be guests Cedric Lassonde and Ben Williams.

Cedric cut his teeth on independent radio in France playing dub reggae, Hip Hop and electronic. a 6-month stay in NYC exposed him to inpsirational clubs like Shelter, Body&Soul and The Loft. since then, he's DJed in France and then London, at Plastic People (Balance), The Clinic, Thirteen (Voices), Medicine in Shoreditch and Colors in Camdem. the goods: journeying through disco, dub, soul, deep house.

Ben's contributions to the London dance music scene stretch back to the early days of Analogue City, where as a resident he opened for the likes of Detroit originators Juan Atkins and Derrick May. he also DJed at Hardware, and ran the Origin events in Brixton and Soho. these days you'll find him behind the counter at Reckless, as well as spots in bars around London. catch him at Materielle spinning blend of house, detroit, boogie and broken beats.

tbc live percussion to be provided by Jorge...

looking forward to seeing you there!
