what synth makes that crazy keyboard sound that ron and chez used on all those old kms recordings like kms 54 and the inner city 'share my life' remixes?

is that an oberheim ob series?

anyone know the one i am talking about?

those gacky ripped sounding synth comping chords they use....

that is what i am talking about

that is such a great sound.

I seem to recall being told it was a Sequential Prophet, 5 or 600 I guess. Ron posts on the board, so maybe he can confirm?

jonny or ron if you see this

any ideas about the synthisis to get that sound? i would love to have the analog that orginated the sound, but just knowing how to pull up something similar on a softsynth would be cooooool too.

Native Instruments Pro53 is the softsynth version of the Pro5

yes i understand that, but what i am wondering is how to set the softsynth....

like wave types and combinations
lfo settings, filter type and the such....

anyone got any clues? i have done some experimenting but nothing close yet.

I came up with something reasonably close on an MS2000, but I suspect the Prophet is what gives it its harshness. I might still have the patch but my equpiment's all in a cupboard right now!

Prophet5 was way to expensive for artists like Chez and trent,, i think its FM synthesis,, maybe the dx21,, those organs in Can you feel it, is a dx,,, and those basses in Ron Trent are dx to.

Dx21 is way cooler then a prophet and its cheap.
