Hello Bastiboi,
Absolutely all the above.
I'd say try as many as you can for whatever you trying to do.
Do you have a particular task you want the VST plugin to do....effect, instrument etc.?
Here are some links: biggrinangel.gif

Hello JorgeG,
much thanx for your reply. It is a pity that iam not into programming. it would be great to make your own Plugs. Great Links!
iam looking for
- Accoustic & E-Bass Simulation
- drum modules (synthetic and natural ones)
- an digital epiano, not a rhodes simulation
- a good sampler
- a realistic piano
Effects:
- a wahwah pedal simulation, not that lfo modulation
- a chorus
- exciter
- good Eq's
- and a plug that adds age to it, no just noise like grungelizer.
it would be great when you would share your experience with us.
greets

for what would you use Ableton? i cant see a use in this app...
and the sampler should have a timestretch function, if possible...

my favorite plugins are by far the UAD1 effects, these can really make a mix sound professional and warm..especially the pultec EQ and the LA2A and 1176 compressors...amazing stuff!
besides the UAD1 i love the DR008 drumsampler/synth, the Gmedia Oddity and the Voxengo plugins.... also for delay effects the ohmforce plugin, for drums sometimes Ephonics free drumsynth...
about Ableton Live, its not a plugin but a sequencer, but a very amazing sequencer...i am currently investigating Ableton Live 4, which has introduced MIDI besides Audio, and i think it will become my new main sequencer and DAW....
the thing that fascinates me about Live4 is the session-view..... in cubase/nuendo or other lineair DAW's/sequencers i have no problem recording a rough idea, several layers of sounds in a loop of f.e. 16 or 32 bars.... but when i have to transform this loop sketch into an arrangement, the fun and inspiration quickly dissapears, i don't like copy&pasting little bars of audio or midi data around like it's lego.....after 5 minutes i am bored and my inspiration has flown away...
but with live 4 you can record your ideas into the session view, each little loop into a "clip" .... both audio and midi will be automatically synced to the project tempo and you can record while still playing everything.... after you're done recording all the clips you can then press record and jam away using the keyboard, the mouse or a midi controller...just active or disable clips, it's all timesynced and in time......move faders, change midi or audio effects.....this entire jam-session is automatically recorded into the arrangement window......so you can replay *everything* you have done! the last step is then to edit your lineair arrangement, clean it up by removing parts, or copy&paste stuff....you can even cut out little parts and move them into new clips to use in a new session "jam"..... this is really very very innovative as it's much more suited to the pattern-based way that electronic dance music is often created....
