I really like this program. Right now Im using SONAR (a free copy). But if I were to buy a program it would prob be ACID (due to cost). Any of you out there know about any cons with ACID?

I could'nt sleep. I kept thinking " gotta stop thinking ... gotta stop thinking"

Seriously it is great and fairly simple to learn, plus time stretching is very simple.

I like the fact you can throw anything in there and it comes up the same bpm as the whole project on the fly. As far as ease of use it gets a thumbs up from me. It does get a littledigital sounding when the wav file is struggling though. Get the 4.0 if you can. Peace

i think acid 4.0 is very mature and really nice, it really gives you a smooth creative flow.... reminds me a lot of ableton live in that kind of way....

imho acid 4 pro is the best tool if you want to "remix" tracks, you can use something called the beatmapper to get your additional layers very tight to even untight material without cutting it up

I use Acid to fool around with stuff, and mix and match. Deesko pointed it out to me how condusive it is to that. If I'm then serious about doing with it what I want, I start it up in Sonar.

Cons of Acid - It's not as intuitively flexible as I find Sonar can be.

It's been mentioned before, but check out Ableton's 'Live' as an (imo far superior) alternative to Acid.
