Speeding up vocals for a certain track

What programs do you use to speed vocals up to match a beat (i.e. Tony Cano sped up R. Kelly's vocal to make a house remix)

Just looking for suggestions.

Also, do you guys know anyway to strip vocals from a track (Very illegal, I know.)

you can speed up vocals by just adjusting the pitch in an audio editor or a sampler ... or you can timestretch the audio with most audio editors (sound forge for example) which will speed it up while leaving the pitch the same

there is no clean way to extract a vocal from a song

Best thing ever is an old progam that prosoniq makes called EZ timestretch. Better than anything i've ever heard with no artifacts introduced. It's quite old but I haven't heard anything that's close to touching it and I've tried em all. Only thing is that you have to give it some time to work it's magic. Sometimes a high tempo change will take it 15 minutes a track. So I usually put all the tracks in one folder and run a batch on it, go get something to eat and when i get back viola!.

I think the newer version is the Prosoniq TimeFactory. (VST). I use this one - tightest and cleanest thing i've come across. time=stretched full music tracks (polyphonic) and heard zero artifacts.
