Has anyone used these two together...?After months of playing around I'm able to make Acid sound like a REAL music machine and not a Layering cookie cutter beat maker so I want to add my on and off beat hits of drums or whatever with a midi keyboard. I got the Oxygen 8 but I'm clueless as to the hookup. I have the 2x2 midi box and I've used it with Vegas for recording tracks so I know the midi in works so.. Just a little push from someone will help me out some....I have to do something til my MPC gets back fdrom the shop ( at least a month...AARRGGGHH(like charlie brown)) Anyway any help is appreciated...nymhpfoe@yahoo.com if you don't wanna post it.

Then................

If you have the money, pick up a MPD-16 from Akai.

You won't need the MPC 2000 anymore.

If you are then do this...

OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>SYNC>TRIGGER FROM MIDI TIMECODE SETTINGS (make sure that the MIDI input is not the same as the MIDI input you are going to use with your softsynth.

OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>MIDI>(enable your device for MIDI input).

VIEW>check mark SOFTSYNTH PROPERTIES.

VIEW>check mark MIXER

On the bottom of your Acid window...

MIXER TAB>INSERT SOFTSYNTH>HIGHLIGHT SOFTSYNTH>OK>on the softsynths tab, enable ENABLE REAL-TIME MIDI>enable EXTERNAL MIDI INPUT>choose MIDI input of choice>OK

Peace...
