Hi Armen how is LA. We refer to house music as just that house music if you are however refering to the post I had about music coming out of Durban, I was talking about Kwaito.

Kwaito and house are considered two different types of music but house is recognised as the big brother to kwaito. In the early to mid 90's Dj's like Oskido ( owner of kalawa jazzmee records one of the most respected labels in SA) used to take house beats, slow it down and put vocals over them using township slangs and kwaito was born.

Previously you could differentiate the two based on the speed of the beats but that does not apply anymore as kwaito coming out of durban(kwaito used to be a jo'burg thing) is much faster. One of the only ways people are differentiating the two is that one uses township slang while the orther does not.Sorry for the long answer.
