The bassline is hammering the compressor you have on the entire track. Personally I would remove the compressor and get it sounding more balanced without it.

Sounds good to me :)
Interesting watch. He makes it look very easy
In the past I used rebirth to make the acid riff, export as wav, and import into the DAW. It can then be overlayed with other synths playing the same riff to get a super nice texture but still...
Normalise is generally interpreted as changing the volume of the waveform such that the highest peak is at 0db. Normalising is really the name given to the process of changing the volume so that the...
Even a track that has been recorded well would need a final tweak to normalise it to the desired max level
You should just make sure that the track level doesnt peak above -3b, or -4db (usually the mastering engineer will tell you the maximum level they expect, and they usually require a 24bit version as...
As mentioned by nightshade, its worth trying a compressor and / or a limiter on the master bus at some point just to get a feel for how the track will sound when it's squashed a bit.
Generally,...
The sub element is probably a basic wave, and the texture comes from anther sound layered over the top.
Its also not uncommon to use up to 3 different sounds to construct a bassline sound, and...
Spending money on pints in the pub doesnt make money but lots of people do it. If it will bring you some pleasure, and you can afford it, then do it anyway ;)
Good luck with it fella
It needs mastering, and I would buy that in a flash. Really nice track.
Personally I think its too long, and should be cut to roughly 6 minutes. The middle section including the break should be...
Yes but they are all stolen and many are of poor quality. Personally, Id rather use sample packs where there are no potential sample clearance issues.
Think Ill stick with 5 for now, as it seems relatively stable apart from the sound glitching out when it goes over 50% cpu (I'd love to know whay this is).
Better the devil you know and all that.
The tracks are good and worth buying anyway IMO.
I also do the same, although I tend to use only short sections of vocals as thats my preferred sound. The normal approach for me is to create a track and then add the vocals later. This is probably a...

Cool. Ill check it out later (soundcloud is blocked from work :frown: )
I agree a basic sampler would be a good inclusion. Although I can see why they wouldnt include one to try and get you to buy halion
Good quirky sound.
The panning of the lead lines is not right. Some are quite a bit left and some a bit right but they play individually, which I found fatiging to listen to on headphones....
Overall the track sounds good. It has a mid 90s house sound to it, which seems to be making a bit of a comeback recently.
Personally Im not sold on the vocal. It sounds quite flat and has far too...
Yeah looks alright. I didnt buy 6 because it didnt seem to have any features that I wanted over 5 which was cheaper at the time. 7 looks like it may be worth going to though.
Its hard to say. Its ok, the bassline is good and the track does have energy.
Comparing it to pro stuff the obvious difference is that it lacks a bit of bottom end punch. The kick seems quite...
