good music should be enough
Larry Heard was at the Redbull Music Academy. He talked there about his productions like 'can you feel' and how he created them. You'll find the videos at
damn socratez! still no tracks online! http://deephousepage.com/smilies/jpshakehead.gif
yeah, but why? graemlins/conf40.gif
why don't you use a CV/MIDI converter and control the device with your MIDI sequencer. We're now in the year 2006 and nobody must get lost in 'CV / Gate' stuff anymore. graemlins/wave.gif
Did you learn playing an instrument? I guess it would help you a lot. Of course, the ability of playing an instrument isn't sufficient to make good tracks - but it is helpful.
Did you already upload...
...when I watched the Sandy Rivera Video the download rate was incredibly low. I had to wait first for caching the file until I was able to watch it. graemlins/conf44.gif
btw, socratez - where do you live in holland? I'm temporarely in Eindhoven for the next 2 months. http://deephousepage.com/smilies/beerchug.gif

I'm looking for a good MIDI-controller. So, what do you think about the Korg Kontrol 49?
Does anybody have some experiences with...
a good software for real orchestra-like strings is the EDIROL HQ Orchestral. I guess the synthesis is based on samples that's why they sound so complex and real.
Here's some information about it:...
I love the track 'FLY'! It's pure soul! graemlins/respekt.gif
Are there any preferred scales for house music? Major, Minor, Ionian, Dorian, Lydian...? Just wondering graemlins/stupid2.gif

...and about the JUNO 106 I only found the following information about the LFO (http://www.vintagesynth.com/):
LFO - rate and delay
That doesn't say anything about the parameters which can be...
damn, your're right. it has filters:
Filter - TVF (lowpass, bandpass, high pass, peak) with cutoff, resonance, key follow and velocity sensitivity
LFO - 2 LFO's (sine, saw, square,...
the sweepy synth sounds like a LFO-controlled lowpass-filter. I think the ROLAND JV-1010 has no filters so that's not possible doing such sounds solely with that synth. I have an old Kawai K-3 with...
