Thanks! Downloading them now.
Cool, thanks!
This is the tracklist from the July 13 one:
Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam with Full Force: Wonder If I Take You Home
J.M. Silk: Music Is the Key
Farley Keith: Funkin’ with the Drums/Colonel Abrams:...
I like it. Anyone know what the electro tune is after "Crash Goes Love"? It starts around 20:20.
I missed this one. Did it already get pulled?
Nice. Thanks!
Thanks for the info. I've been dogging Mr. Weisberg for an interview for quite some time ;-)
Resident Advisor just posted my article on the Warehouse, which was over a year in the making:

I spent a lot of afternoons at the library...
I see what you're getting at, but you can't study Ron in isolation--you have to look at what all of the other Chicago DJs were doing to see if he was unique in this regard. He was not the only one...
Also Can't Hide Love by Jimmy Smith. The thing is, a lot of jazz musicians (Ramsey Lewis, etc.) dabbled with disco. It made good monetary sense ;-)
I'm pretty sure he played The Dancer by Stanley Clarke and The Groove by Rodney Franklin plus a couple of Charles Earland cuts. But it's not like he was the only jock digging that stuff.
Hi all,
I posted an article on Michael based on an interview he gave me this spring:

There are lots of great details on Club LaRay,...
Just 3 to go, if anyone wants to give 'em a try. Thanks!
Oops, sorry about the links. They should be fixed now.
Thanks for all of the help so far.
I updated the Frankie Knuckles tracklists on my site, but I'm still missing a few IDs. I split out the tracks in question. Here they are:

I'll try contacting Kenny for a rebuttal.
I went by there with Goss a few weeks ago, and the old Paradise building is no more. I wish I could find some photos of it.
I just posted a new interview with Dan Goss from DiscoMuseum.net on Dugan's Bistro and Chicago's first hot mixer, Lou DiVito. It also touches on the Warehouse:

Thanks guys. Stay tuned, I've got more features on Chicago disco on the way.
It would be great to add these WDAI mixes: http://www.deephousepage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=221060
Come to think of it, I have the Frankie ones on my hd at home. PM me and I can use yousendit or something.
I converted the Ron Hardy ones a couple of years ago. You are welcome to grab them. They could probably use better ID3 tags, though.

I was reading Vince Aletti's The Disco Files, and one of the jocks reporting was Artie Feldman from Chicago. Anyone remember seeing him spin at Our Den, Den 1, or Sunday's? Is he still around to talk...
Thanks! sueno is a different guy, but he "approves" of me continuing his work on the tracklists.
Myron, nice post! I reported on it this year too:

I agree, the crowd was pretty young, and sound levels/quality varied quite a bit between stages. I...
