Anyone heard Grandmaster Flash's Salsoul Jam 2000 mix CD? what do ya think?
This is on high rotation at my house, my girlfriend loves this CD very much. Mastered by Tom Moulton, it has a live feel to it with hand claps and crowd noises, Flash does some MCing too.
For a Hip Hop DJ he rocks the disco.

I recently saw him live and dispite what people have to say about him he rocked like no other, a true party DJ(something these young Hip Hop DJ's could learn more about). His selections were diverse with old and new tracks from all genre's.

Any of you deep housers catch him live?

I've seen this CD around. Wouldn't mind checking it out. I played before him at a street party two years, that was an experience....He looked at the crowd and knew exactly what to play to get them going, brought up the energy to a peak and then jetted out of there just as fast....

    Hi saadir7,
The CD I have has a shimmery cover too, its one of thoughs 3D covers with two lady's next to him shaking their booties. It is dated 97 but could have been done earlier.

Even if you dont dig disco that much after a few listens you'll be hooked.
