This whole thread has become like some dreadful mid-70s jazz fusion record.

    Martin R

why do you insist on mimicking a London accent ?(you sound like a bad impression of 1001 mockneys)

It just weakens any argument you might put across. If it was someone taking the piss out of a West Indian or Asian accent you'd be up in arms along with half the posters on this sight. I could start having a dig at you for having a brummie accent but I won't bother stooping that low. Your not doing yourself justice mate. Aren't you better than that?

Just a quick thought, has anyone agreed with anything Martin Red has said yet? If no then I say we end the debate right here, if yes then I'm ready to go a little further to disprove even more of his self indulged cut and paste statements.

I'm still really full from eating too much.

</font>[/QUOTE]Martin Red, that doesn't mean anything. Oh and its 'time' and 'employment' illiterate statements are hard to defend, rule 1.

Fact: Thatcher bought the country to its knees.
Fact: It takes a long time to repair damage
Fact: Political Spin Doctors will use the time it takes the new Government to fix, or not as the case may be, the problems as a weapon against them.
    Fact: No Government is perfect
Fact: This is not rocket science

    Peace.

Insert witty remark here = Martin Red has no sense of sarcasm, humour and lack of witty remakrs = making him even more wound up and very, very angry with life and himself. This is how it appears anyway.

Now this could take this thread to another 10 pages, but ....

the subject of Thatcher has come up - do you think this country is a better place now than it would have been if we she hadn't changed the country so much? I was by no means a supporter of hers at the time (in fact I was a member of the Labour Party), but sometimes I wonder whether she made this country a more prosperous place FOR EVERYONE IN GENERAL (yeah I'm sure someone can give me an example of someone that isn't) by raising the standard of living, increasing social mobility and taking the UK in to the modern age.

So your incessant piss takes of London accents aren't personal attacks on a par with the ones you have cited?

You seem to want G Man to close the thread 'cos half of what you've said doesn't hold any water but you won't admit your wrong. When someone poses a question that's a bit tricky you come up with this excuse of organizing a club night, despite the fact you said you've got all day. [When I asked you to define class divisions and for your opinions on Thatcher's legacy].
