"Powerful radio telescopes at Jodrell Bank Observatory in England and Stanford University in California also have failed to detect the craft’s distinctive call sign, composed by the British band Blur, or even a less musical carrier tone."

Now if they chose to play Ghostdancer, things might have turned out a bit differently.

i've heard two names regularly mentioned as being 'the martian', both with credits on one or more of the red planet releases, but i think it's someone else...

Latest news from the sonic rebel forces is that mediocre programming has lead to the disappearance of the Beagle.
I was however warned that UR troops are planning a full out sonic assault on all sounds systems playing inferior sell out music on nye. They have been warned....

Actually I think the Aquanauts 12in was produced by Tyree Stinson, brother of the late James Stinson (Drexciya).

As for the Martian, the CD compilation lists him as Will Thomas, but I have always thought it was Mike Banks. Certainly sounds like him to me.

if u listen carefully u'd notice that 95% of UR releases and sub lables r Mike Banks' productions... the very same way Prince used to use other people as his aliases for other kind of productions (they all sound and sounded quite the same at the end of the day...)
