why ya wanna be a dj anyhoo?...is that some type of shit to actually aspire to? do many of you actually get paid to do this? cause if not you could not really say you were a dj - just an avid record collector....an amateur in the true sense of the word...and there's nothing wrong with that...however it seems a silly thing to want to be a dj since only a few will ever be able to make a living at this game

but dj?...why does one want to be that?..and if you are saying that is your vocation shouldn't you be trying to make money at it? - live up to your title as it were...therefor if the dj thing is your calling shouldn't you actually be making money at it?

me...dj is the last thing on the list...i'm just a music lover..i'd rther be known as an owner or a lawyer or a carpenter or a doctor ...but dj? i don't know....

i usually will say tha i also dj....

Ill keep that in mind Buddy,great opinion.I now see the light,This dj thing is a all a ****in joke.Id rather do mobile services again and MUST have a real job to maintain stability.Some of us had our chances back in the 80s but decided to chase pussy or do other things that were more important.As for me,now this is all a hobby.

Mark, I beg to differ here, we all have passions and I would wager that most of us don't get paid to fullfill them. The entertainment field is so much more competitive so the ratio of folks getting paid to do what they love will be even lower in comparison to other fields. Imagine telling an actor they are not an actor because they aren't making money at it or a lot of money at it. Though DJing is not my passion, I would not agree that I have to be paid to do it to validate it.
