btw....On my last visit to London in June I went to my friends home who has two Klipsch Horn (full range corner speakers) in his living room.

He recently bought a stereo amplifer (tubes) Class A/State of the Art which sells for only $600 USD.

The amplifer is only 2 Watts per channel! It delivered spl levels to 100db + or - 3db. It was clean, efficent AND most of all...musical.

I will post all of the info regarding this particular amplifier in the very near future as he is on holiday and will send me the link for the company, etc. that I will need to post properly.

The amplifier is the size of a small shoe box. It is physically checked by throwing it off a five story building ten times. (I suspect the tubes are removed prior). Also it is put in a machine that is used to mix paint in a can and shaken for 24 hours.

It has about 3 tubes and comes with life time guarantee.

The sound that come from those speakers are unbelievable.They had them at a party i go to sometimes,the sound wasnt punching me in the head,It felt really nice and natural like the musicians were in the room playing.

Often speakers get the blame for everything. I say this because the speakers must be fed the correct diet for them to reproduce properly. The other main factor is that they be efficient which is such the case with Klipsch Horns. You were in the right place when you heard them as the folks who are using them know what they are doing if it sounded musical. The key Phyllis is that we want to hear the music and not the sound system and this is what you experienced.

Paul Klipsch would be the first one to tell you that he simply followed with respect the physics and fundamentals and avoided inserting his ego in some kind of "design" that would promote a speaker system which is designed for profit on the customer's loss.

A devious audio salesmen will have you go completely insane within about a 20 minute time period and the next thing you are doing is handing over your wallet
