Here's what Billboard Magazine had to say about the results:

According to executives with three of the major labels, whose job duties include projecting first week scans based on early store sales reports, "Graduation" could come in at the 575,000-700,000 range, while "Curtis" is being projected in the 500,000-600,000 range.

Meanwhile, Kenny Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates," also released today, is projected to arrive the 400,000-550,000 range, with one sales projecting guru putting the country star neck and neck with 50 Cent.

Good I hope Kanye sells more. Bet Fiddy's ignant punk azz will still put his shit out even though he said he wouldn't if Kanye won.

Bought them both like them both.

Kanye has more creativity and range on his album, 50 has more collaborators and same sound.

This was the biggest way ever I've seen artists get their albums sold. Best Buy put them right next to each other.

I'd say Kanye would win because his lyrics are less threatening and vulgar. Both use the N-word and surprisingly as much cursing as there is on 50's album they had the nerve to black some of it out too.

In my opinion they both win, financially; but my love goes out to my Chi-town brother Kanye!
Talent ensconced in obscure seclusion by copious mediocrity.
