    My very first drum machine

Man I use to hook up some beats on this. Lol. It had cheezy limited sounds: kick, snare, hat, toms.

This was also my first drum machine. I swore I was making some jack tracks with that thing.

I remember my uncle bought it from Toys'R'us and lent it to me for a month or so. I've been addicted to drum machines ever since.

    then I got a tr707

    then a tr606, then a tr909 and then a tr808.

think I like the 707 the most now,, but Dam I loved the tr909- think Ive just heard it toooo many times.

I dreamed of owning a tr808 after hearing planet rock.

I had one of these. The Boss DR110.

Despite looking a bit like a 707 with its LCD screen the sounds are analog. A bit like a tighter version of the 606 but with a clap too. I use a sample set from one in Logic quite a lot.

Next came a Roland TR626 which was similar sounds to both the 707 & 727 in one box. However that was at the time when 909 sounds were really starting to dominate records & the 626 sounded a bit weak in comparison so I sold it & got a Casio FZ sampler.

    #2 - not a whole lot better...

Synced to an MC-202 in half-time because the Roland and Korg DIN sync didn't quite match.

Yes sir. The DR110 is nice. I still use samples of this machine. The high hats and snare are sick.

back at the time i bought it i was just useing it to back beat to blend into my mixes and it was the alesis hr 16. i didnt know that iit was one of the first drum machines with real samples in it until my sisters babys father was like oh shit you got the joint machine cause he was useing a yamaha at the time and at that moment i knew i had something real good but i sold it years later cause it served no use for what i was doing.

I actually like the sounds on this crappy machine. It has "Jack" written all over it.
