Thomas L Friedman and the future of DJing

Given Friedmans proposition that the world is flat (perfect information and all teams compete on a level playing field) what is the future of djing and who will be the prototypical dj?

Perfect information has been achieved (music-wise) ... we're at that point right now ... so just look around

one of the criticisms of Friedmans work is that while perfect information has been achieved it has not been applied....just look around

People won’t be out dancing anymore because the elites are and will have everybody too busy competing for their measly pay under the impression if they don’t someone on the other side of the world will.

Bye bye fun, hello 'serve the economy'.

maybe i was toooo vague in my "quest for fiiyaaaaah" (sorry)...let me rephrase

if, conceivably, every person can be a dj, and has access to the whole history of recorded music, and can beatmatch (skill or computer it doesnt matter)...what will seperate the wheat from the chaff?

the culture. the information on the culture is out, but the people and peoples day to day life and experience that makes up the culture is an element I feel is missing in the information about the culture that is now everywhere on this earth.

I was watching a youtube doc on the creation of acid house and they were talking about how they found the sounds. Which was by blindly turning knobs and making the machine do things it was never attended to do from the designers point of view. It's the whole mad scientist thing. I don't know enough about the production end but I'd imagine artists that start doing crazy shit with all these new machines will find breakthroughs by mashing buttons and cranking knobs so to speak.
