There is also a proof that women live longer than men. Why? because instead of being assholes we avoid them

My pastor has knowledge and experience that he shares with us so we know how to function in life. He is a teacher and alot of ministers can't teach from experience because of the lack of or just too proud. I truly see the pastor of my church as a Shepard with a purpose and to help us get to ours. He truly has a heart for his fellow man. There is a scripture that says "how can one hear without preacher..." I've searched out many religions and I've never learned what I am learning now. I have a genuine love for folk. (not judgment)

So I am saying all of this to say is God is real in my life, he sets me up spiritually so I can live in a natural world and I have peace. There are many philosophies and ideologies in the world but nothing brings me peace knowing that God is love and no other person in this world can take that from me. With that capacity of love I can love others (something that was impossible for me to do for years.)

Sorry got side tracked Don't emotional ya'll this post is just to pique your brains a bit
so you are a christian. what you are doing is no different than any of the other religions including all the christian sects. to me it's a subtle form of proselytizing. you can't help but feel pity for those who "are damned to hell" in this particular case it would include god fearing well behaved christians. how can you post a science article and then interject it with your christian beliefs claiming to know the answers to life's deepest mysteries? you write with the conviction that what you are writing is FACT. example referring to god as a male being.

i'm trying to understand what your whole point is. i get that man was here a long time & that dinosaurs were around b4 us but that's old news. what is the point of the thread title if not to provoke the hard core creationists.
as a christian, since christians are torn between creationism & evolution, using science when it's convenient to strengthen your argument is kinda weak if you ask me. please don't take offense to what i am writing. i am just all too familiar with this type of scenario.

Actually I wasn't arguing with no one. You got it twisted. All i was expressing was how my spirituality runs deep. Just as if I were a Buddhist, no different. Some of you are so up in arms for an argument that you have a strange way of being. I am in no form 'knocking' any one's religion, I opened up to talk about the discovery of dino and how we let religiosity get in the way of scientific discovery.

Read some more, still feel the same about the Bible (which is not something new that just occured this year).
I got into this thread to poke fun etc (as I do on 97% of my post here, I gotta bring humor) and read facts that I may have not known - which did happen.

On a serious note, I gave up on the whole Bible thing at age 10 if not a few years prior and it makes less sense to me now than it ever did as of being the truth.

There are many things on this planet that are a common thread, Math, Music, Life, Death, which is all to do with NATURE now the rest of this pie in the sky shit, that is for the birds!

No problem. I didn't mean to just pick on you because you'd misunderstood. In my view, the main problem with creationism is that it seems to stop people from even beginning to understand the theories the creationist opposes, and so to see the beauty of scientific explanation. Natural selection is science at its beautiful best. If God exists, it would have been remiss of Him to have created the various species when He could have let natural selection do its job.
