Smile AD's Top Ten Add-ons for FireFox

    1. Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3

This little baby is a great add-on for blocking all those stupid ads and banners, which helps speed up loading web pages. Yes, it blocks whatever you want by right-clicking the image and sending it to block-land.

    2. IE Tab 1.3.3.20070528

This is probably one of the best add-ons, which I use often for sites that haven't got a clue and make their sites available only to IE. If you're a REAL web developer you should know how to make your site available through any browser NOT just IE.

    3. GSpace

Use this little add-on to use your Gmail account as storage. Create a dummy account and bingo-bamo you've got online storage.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...space&status=4

    4. Video DownloadHelper 2.5.3

Great application for downloading your favorite Youtube vids and playing them in your favorite Flash Player application. Now you never have to worry about Youtube keeping your favorite videos up when you can download them to your computer and view any time.

    5. NoScript 1.1.9.6

One of the best add-ons which prevents JavaScript and other executables from being launched unless you trust the site you are on. This should keep your browser from being jacked.

    6. FireFTP 0.97.1

This is a great application for moving files between your FTP server or Web Host. It all happens in FF.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684

    7. Gmail Manager

If you have multiple Gmail accounts like me and would like to be logged into each account and be notified when there are new messages then this is the add-on for you.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1320

    8. FEBE 5.1.1
This is a nice add-on for backing up and restoring your extensions between your multiple computers.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109

    9. iMacros for Firefox 6.0.1.5

This is a nice little add-on for managing a lot of the repetitive tasks you deal with every day.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3863

    10. SIRIUS Player 1.1

Last, but not least, the SIRIUS player for those of you that are like me and gotta listen to the Howard Stern show every day.

Here are a couple more must haves for me.

    1. ImageZoom

    Adds zoom functionality for images...

    2. Download Statusbar

View and manage downloads from a tidy statusbar - without the download window getting in the way of your web browsing.

    3. Cooliris Previews 2.5.2

Cooliris Previews gives you the power to browse and share Web links and rich media faster. Just mouse over any link, and the Cooliris preview window immediately appears to show you the content. To email it, just click.

    4. FoxyTunes

Do you listen to Music while surfing the Web? FoxyTunes lets you control almost any media player and find lyrics, covers, videos, bios and much more with a click right from your browser.

    5. Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer

If you use Firefox on more than one computer, you'll want Foxmarks. Install Foxmarks on each computer, and it will work silently in the background to keep your bookmarks synchronized. You can also log in to my.foxmarks.com to manage your bookmarks from any computer.

It's especially useful for those webpages with pictures that are bigger than your monitor. Use the "Image Fit" option & it'll scale the picture to fit the webpage. There's also an option to automatically scale all pictures when you load a page on those times when all pics in a page are huge.

I'm surprised there aren't more FireFox users in here. I guess they're all happy with the IE and the browser crashing.

Here's another one that I just installed and is very useful

    abcTajpu 1.6.0

This is good for accented characters and international letters/symbols. Very neat when you're trying to use the correct words and punctuation.

    Thanks for the info.

    I'm a Flock user.

Also, any ideas on backup/archiving options for Thunderbird?
