Fletch, I just wanted to share with you and anyone else on the board(Who may remember, Or, Who just love basketball), The 30th Anniversary, Of The Cardoza Highschool Basketball crews, '1978 PSAL City Championship', My man/LOL, Cardoza was the first crew from Queens, To win the PSAL City Championship in 1978(Cardoza beat Morris highschool From the Bronx, Which Featured:Honorable Mention All-American,Dave Crosby and First Team All Bronx and Honorable Mention All-City cat by the name of Tom(The

Riddler/LOL),Ridley), Fletch, Cardoza did not have any All-Americans in 1978, But, Cardoza had more than a few All-City and All-Queens cats on it's crew such as my man Keith Brown/Rip,Greg(Action Frac)Fraction,Winston Nicholas(Who transferred from Long Island Lutheran in 1977),Donald(The Leaper)Stevens,Stuey(Truck)Powell,Kenny King,Etc, Fletch, Cardoza was coached by Al Matican(Ron Naclario was the assistant coach back in the mid 70's to early 80's at Cardoza), Fletch, Cardoza was Demolished by Mater Christi the

Following week after beating Morris for the PSAL Title at St.John's my man, Mater Christi, Demo'd Cardoza by 30(Well, Frac, Greg Fraction from the Southside/40 Projects, Was at a throwdown the night before the game against Mater Christi, Which was on a Sunday Afternoon(Around 12 noon/LOL), I heard Frac got home around 6am, From a throwdown that cats around the way gave him at a spot called, 'The Rennasance',(Which was located on Parsons Blvd Off of Hillside ave and across from Hillcrest Highschool), Cardoza had mad horses(Big Men), Though in 1978(WORD/LOL),

Fletch, The Basketball Alumni at Cardoza is mad thick my man, Ron Naclario(One of the best coaches in New York on the Highschool basketball circuit), Recruits(Damn, I should not have put it out there like that/LOL), Well, Naclario is very good at convincing cats to come to Cardoza my man/LOL(That's alot better, You never know who's reading threads these days/LOL), Fletch, Here's a list of cats who have played for Cardoza, Along with playing on the major College circuit and NBA circuit my man.

Fletch, My man Spyder/Spyder D from Hollis,Queens/LOL), Used to go to Cardoza too my man(Spyder transferred to Richmond Hill Highschool in 1976/77) , Also, My man Keith Brown and Greg Fraction, Were two of the first cats from Queens to play for Riverside Church in the summer of 1978(Along with Winston Nicholas), Fletch, Back in the 70's, Only cats playing for Riverside Church, Were cats from Uptown/Harlem(Along with All-americans from Conneticut,New Jersey,Etc, Fletch, To be down with Riverside Church in the 70's, Was considered an honor to the ninth power my man(WORD), And,

For a cat from Queens to be down with Riverside Church was even more honorable, Respect wise in the streets(Especially in The Bronx,Manhattan,Brooklyn,Etc), Because, That Queens is weak stigma, Was mad strong in the streets back in the 70's/LOL, Fletch, Bill Travers(legendary Highschool Sports writer for the Daily News in the 70's,80's), Once stated, That Keith Brown and Greg Fraction, Were the best backcourt in New York in 1978 and 1979(Both, Keith Brown and Greg Fraction were both Juniors in

Fletch, Duane Caswell went to Cardoza in the mid 80's my man(Duane Caswell is the cat who scooped Ron Naclario up on Rafer Alston in the late 80's, While Rafer Alston was still in Junior Highschool at IS8 around the way(Southside/LOL), Fletch, Frac(Greg Fraction), Used get zooted before games my man(And, Play well too/LOL), Frac was wild with his, But, Frac was very

Talented too(But, Frac was around the way un-disciplined to the ninth power with his/LOL), Fletch, Red(Red Bruin), Was from Around the Astoria,Queens area, So, Red was not going to no other school, But, Mater Christi my man(WORD/LOL), Also, Mater Christi had a crew in 1978 and 1979(Mater Christi's starting 5, Except for 1 cat, Who i cannot remember right about now, All went to Major Division 1 schools from 1979 to 1982), Dwyane(Dj)Johnson was The yougest cat on the 1978 Mater Christi New York State Championship

Crew, Dwyane Johnson played for Marquette from 1982 to 1986), Dwyane Johnson was a top 10 All-American in 1982, Fletch, If Frac would have been himself against Mater Christi in the PSAL vs CHSAA City title game at St.John's in 1978, Mater Christi would have still won, But, The game would have been mad close though(WORD), Frac was just as nice as Phil Smith(Who was one of the top guards in the country as a Junior at Mater Christi in

1978), Phil Smith played for The University of New Mexico from 1979 to 1984(Phil Smith broke his leg during his Freshman year, Thus, Resulting in Phil Smith redshirting his Freshman year in 1979/80), Vern Fleming was tough too in highschool(Along with having a productive career in the NBA), But, My man Keith Brown would have gave it to Vern Fleming to the ninth power
