When someone says "I listen to house music" and you hear their sounds, you'll get very different tracks from different people.
So, you may be a purist, but house can be Todd Edwards, GU, Daft Punk, Dj Sneak, Morales, Sanchez, Todd Terry, Theo Parrish, Dimitri from Paris, Oji, Dj Rush, Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, UR... The list could go on for a long time but I don't have enough room.
So what's house ?
Only what you named House.
House never existed as an entity. House is a universal feeling... Remember ?
So many people, so many styles, so many souls... Do you think someone owns House ?
I never liked much GU's or Blaze's works, am I unHouse ?
In these multiple genres of expression, let's just admit that house is a feeling, not anything concrete.
House would have never existed without the black man, the white man, the hispanics, the gays, the fools, the junkies, the dancers, the listenners, the radios, the drums... House can't be defined or owned.
I'm not of the House clan, never will. I'll just feel, don't ask me to agree if I don't. Nobody's the King or Queen of house.
