Vman...most christians have never read the bible, you think they gonna read a book on philosophy? Also, questioning the word of god is like the worst sin there is, lol. Our conviction is it is illogical to believe or disbelieve in things you cant prove or disprove. Since it is impossible to disprove the existance of god...it is illogical to disbelieve in god. Of course since it is also impossible to prove the existance of god...it is equally illogical to believe in god...thus agnosticism. Now it can be rationally argued that most 'religions' are obviously fictional or mythical...but thats a different debate. The logical answer to us concerning the existance of god is simply 'we dont know'. My man seems to be promoting an athiestic theory in Chap 4 and, knowing theres no rational way to prove atheism, disprove god...I must read his theories...before I dubunk his irrational dogma lol. You see the problem is, if you can be made to believe or disbelieve in things you cant prove or disprove...you can be made to believe or disbelieve in anything, true or real or not...because you need no proof for your beliefs or disbeliefs. This makes you credulus and easy to control. Put more bluntly...it kind of makes you a blind fool. It takes strong character to say 'I'll believe it when I see it'...especially when the consequence 'could be' eternal damnation. However, I find it quite ridiculous to assume that one or more omnipotent beings would be so childish as to condemn their own creations to eternal hell...because they used the brains they were given, dont make much sense if you think about it. Mindless lemming goes to heaven...critical thinker goes to hell...that just dont compute.

disproving the existence of god = negative.

Burden of proof lies on proving the positive (proving the existence of god). Logic 101 teaches that we don't have to prove a negative.

Just like you don't have to prove you didn't kill someone, they have to prove that you did.
